Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 27, 2026
This policy explains what yesdeep collects, why, and what we do with it. Short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the Service, we don't sell your data, and we don't run third-party ad trackers.
1. What we collect
- Account data — your email address and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).
- Research data — the questions you ask, the answers and sources generated, and usage statistics (tokens, duration, model used). This powers your history and usage panel.
- Feedback — thumbs up/down ratings you choose to give.
- Functional cookies — a session cookie to keep you signed in, and a guest counter for free questions. No third-party advertising or analytics cookies.
2. How we use it
- To provide the Service: run your research, show your history, track your usage limits.
- To improve the Service: aggregate, de-identified feedback and quality signals may be used to evaluate and improve research quality.
- We do not sell your personal data or share it with advertisers.
3. How research works
When you ask a question, it is sent to our AI model provider (currently Anthropic) to plan searches and write the answer, and your search queries are sent to web search providers to find sources. Your email and account details are not shared with these providers alongside your question.
4. Sharing
Research is private to your account by default. If you click Share, that research (question, answer, sources) becomes publicly readable by anyone with the link.
5. Storage and security
Data is stored in private cloud storage (Vercel infrastructure). Passwords are hashed with scrypt; sessions use signed, httpOnly cookies; traffic is encrypted with HTTPS.
6. Your choices
- Delete any research from your history at any time (sidebar → hover → delete).
- Log out to end your session on a device.
- To delete your account and all associated data, email support@yesdeep.com from your account email.
7. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
8. Changes
We'll update this policy as the Service evolves and change the date above when we do.
